Best Hygienic Practices for Your Body and Beard
For most of us, great hygienic practices have been instilled within us at a young age. Unfortunately as we grow older and the responsibilities and things to do start to pile up, these practices have a way of falling to the wayside. The lack of structure we once had when we were younger can feel like it’s a hard thing to come by. Though this doesn’t have to be the case. Hopefully it’s something you learned after growing out your beard. Rather than being something you lazily let grow out and no longer have to take care of – the beard has showed you just how much you need to pay attention to your hygiene. A well-groomed beard is a sight to behold. The body should follow suit as you become the best man you can be. Let’s start with the little things like hygiene as a fundamental building block for greatness.
Skincare is constant
As your beard grows and becomes the shining jewel of your face bursting from your cheeks to the jawline, you still have to remember to take care of the rest of that skin on your face too! Here are some effective skin care practices a beardsman should follow on a daily basis. The cornerstone of a healthy face is clear complexion. This means eliminating acne below the beard and on exposed parts of your face. The best way to keep skin clear is to wash your face a few times a day. You should wash your face when you wake up, after a strenuous workout and right before bed. Natural soaps will do wonders on the rest of your face. Washing your face is quite a simple procedure too.- Start by wetting your face with lukewarm water. Don’t worry if your beard gets wet too, just apply some beard oil afterwards when it drys off.
- With clean hands, rub the water into your face in a circular motion to your beard line and up to hairline.
- Grab that soap and spread it over your face.
- Wash out with warm water.
Back to basics
A lot of basic health problems arise from not staying clean. You can avoid a lot of issues by making sure you’re doing a few minor things on a daily habitual basis. Open your beards and start by looking inside at those pearly whites. Make sure you are brushing and flossing your teeth every day, both morning and night. After an especially sinewy meal, you should definitely make sure to floss and rid your mouth of any leftovers. Taking care of your teeth adds up over the long run. You’ll be less susceptible to cavities and will have a brighter smile with great smelling breath. Smells, scents, aromas and odors! Pay attention to the way you present yourself and how you smell. Nobody likes a repugnant smelling man. Open up your olfactory energies and let the fragrances flow. Here’s a few basic things to do everyday:- Take a daily shower.
- Put on deodorant.
- Brush your teeth.
- Wash your hands.
You don’t have to go ahead and smell like a bouquet of flowers – unless of course you want to… Back to the beard and your hair, you’ll want to use products that make you feel and smell great.
